Crispy Brussels sprouts .. one of the tastiest side dishes I know. I serve them with soups, curry, salads and stews. They taste with everything and not unimportant, they are also very good for you! Because did you know that these mini cabbages are really healthy? Sprouts contain more vitamin C than oranges and they are rich in: various B vitamins, magnesium, fiber, potassium and even folic acid. You can understand that we eat a lot of Brussels sprouts in winter, both the green and the purple varieties! Many people make a dirty face when they hear the word sprout. The smell that is released when cooking the Brussels sprout is most nasty. Funny to know is that the smell indicates that you have cooked these small coals too long. When you want to cook them, do not leave them on the stove for longer than 10 minutes, so they retain most vitamins and minerals. If you cook them longer than 10 minutes, these will unfortunately be lost! By now I know there are many more ways you can prepare the Brussels sprouts and my favorite is to roast them in the oven!
