These delicious cabbage dolmas are a real taste sensation. The rolls are filled with a spicy mixture of white rice, vegetarian minced meat and mushrooms. Very suitable as a side dish during an Asian meal, but of course also irresistibly delicious as a snack or lunch.
Fresh ginger (fijngesneden)
Vegetarian minced meat
Cumin Ground (grinded)
Coconut blossom sugar
Brown rice (cooked)
Cook the rice as described on the package.
Meanwhile, loosen the cabbage leaves, cut away the midrib, rinse them with water and place on a cutting board.
Chop the garlic, ginger and mushrooms and heat the oil in a pan.
Fry the garlic and then add the mushrooms and minced meat to the pan.
Now also add the tomato paste and all herbs to the mixture and fry everything in a few minutes.
Add the cooked rice to the minced meat mixture and stir well.
Place a bit of the ground beef mixture in the center of a cabbage leaf and roll it up tightly into a dolma. Use a skewer to keep the dolma closed. Repeat with the rest of the cabbage leaves.
Steam the dolmas in about 15-20 minutes. If you don't have a steam basket, you can hang a colander over a pan of boiling water and close it with a lid. Note: the water must not touch the sieve.
