Candied apples, not yet very well known in the Netherlands, but I have often eaten them abroad. Very sweet but oh so beautiful red, and hey, there is an apple in it so they can't be that bad right? Believe me, now I know better! Still, I can get excited about these sweet apples again in December, just because they look so festive! What to do, what to do ?! Right, we make them ourselves! Not so nice red, a lot less sweet but responsible and yet very tasty. These nice guys did very well with me last weekend. Even before I could spread the 'candy' on the apple, what half the tray was already eaten by Liva and Timo. The spread is so great at our home. On a rice cake, with fruit or just straight out of the tray. It is really not a punishment to come up with recipes that you can make others so happy with! That's why I can't wait to share this delicious recipe with you again. Be creative, because with these apples you can go in all directions. I dipped them in almonds and coconut but if I had the time, I would have tried them immediately with chocolate sauce or with oatmeal or with biscuit spices or buckwheat dip .. You get the point! Varying is fun!
