Banana ice cream

Living the Green Life

One of the best things about being vegan is that I get to eat ice cream all day. In winter this is often limited to dessert and sometimes (when the heating is high) to breakfast. But now that the weather is getting better, I look forward to the days when I eat a bowl of ice cream 3, 4 times a day and feel very healthy and of course happy! How do you wonder .. Simple! Ice cream is so easy to make, you basically only need a banana and some water. Besides the fact that this ice cream is healthy, easy and very tasty, it is also super cheap. On Saturday afternoon I always do a tour of the market. Often my favorite market stall has some bunches of banana left in the late afternoon. I buy this in one go at a good price. I used to find it difficult to negotiate but quickly got over it. As it turned out, the sellers were super happy that they are finished with the products, otherwise they just throw it away. On Saturday afternoon we always come home, very happy, with a fruit box full of bananas (8 can easily go through in one day). I immediately peel the "old" bananas, which have lots of brown speckles, cut them into small pieces and put them in the freezer. Ideal when you feel like ice cream, a cold smoothie or overnight oats. I let the rest ripen and we just eat in between. That in between - back to banana ice cream, on Instagram you will find the most fine photos of "nana cream" or "nicecream" (both different descriptions for banana ice cream). Topped with agave syrup, date syrup and cocoa, fruits, superfoods and / or nuts. So delicious that you can think of nothing else than such a large bowl of mega healthy ice cream! Yesterday afternoon this happened to me, I was gaining living room inspiration when I had to look at the plates of my favorite foodies. I was scrolling and saw a photo of chocolate ice cream pass by. I had to do that too! Quickly entered the kitchen and added a twist to my standard recipe. Highly recommended! My friend was not home yet, so with my little girl on my lap I ate this bowl alone in no time. What do they always say? Learned early is done old;)? I can't wait to make ice cream with her and tell her she can eat as much as she wants!
