Living the Green Life

Varying grains for breakfast has become a real hobby. In a previous post I already wrote that my breakfasts were fairly standard and that (after seeing the oatmeal artist) I decided to spend a little more time on it. I have since made quinoa, buckwheat, oatmeal and almond porridge. I know the latter is not grain, but thought he was part of the list. I put the buckwheat porridge recipe online last week. Today amaranth can be added to that too! I have not been familiar with amaranth for very long (secretly I have not used it before) but when I saw it at the health food store I took it anyway. Amaranth is officially not a grain but a seed and is therefore seen as a grain substitute. It is ideal for people who do not eat gluten because these seeds are gluten-free!
